Writing Retreats for Aspiring Authors
Our writing retreats are where books come to life. Held in Newport Beach, California — with an optional retreat in Golden, Colorado — they give you dedicated time, expert coaching, and a community of fellow authors as part of the 14-month H.O.P.E. Publishing House Authors Program.
The retreats
Retreat One
When: Saturday–Monday, January 16–18, 2027 · Three full days
Where: Newport Beach, California
The program opens with three immersive days by the coast. With your expert writing coaches, you'll clarify your message, organize your ideas, build your book blueprint, and write your first three chapters before you leave.
Retreat Two (optional)
When: Mid-program · dates set by the group · Two full days
Where: Newport Beach, California or Golden, Colorado
An optional mid-program escape to focus on your manuscript beside your fellow authors. The group chooses the setting: the Southern California coast or the mountains of Golden, Colorado.
Final Retreat
When: March 2028 · exact dates to come
Where: Newport Beach, California
Your last retreat before your debut. Refine your author brand, step into your voice as a thought leader, and prepare for your Barnes & Noble book signing on March 28, 2028.
