E.A. Law

Author of Her Shadow in the Sky

About the Book

Two sisters. One sky. A lifetime of shadows. In Her Shadow in the Sky, sisters Margaret and Amy spend their lives competing for visibility in each other's shadow — until a plane crash shatters their world and forces everything into the light. Inspired by true events, this humorous, heart-wrenching, and ultimately healing novel is a tribute to sisterhood in all its tenderness, turbulence, and truth.

About the Author

E. A. Law is the pen name of Elizabeth Thomas. Although she originally aspired to be a creative writer, she became distracted writing software instead, spending several decades building complex automated systems and solving technical issues. Over that time, she collected experiences and observations about life that eventually demanded to be turned into stories. Her debut novel, Her Shadow in the Sky: Sibling Love and Rivalry, is a story about family, loss, and the complicated and sometimes exasperating business of being sisters. Inspired by real-life experiences but written as fiction, it reflects her fascination with magical realism and wry humor as storytelling tools for confronting human complexities and finding deeper truths. When she isn't writing, she enjoys traveling, sailing, and dancing to 80s music.
